For some reason, this has always ranked as my least favorite album despite the fact that it contains a song I co-wrote with Eric that I am particularly proud of, Days Are Numbers. Sooner Or Later was the third attempt to try and get another hit with the Eye In The Sky'esque chugging guitar line - Prime Time from Ammonia Avenue was the second, which I thought was a little more successful in that respect. No new vocal talents on this album - David Paton, Colin Blunstone and Chris Rainbow had all made previous appearances. We made no use of orchestra on the album either, a decision that seemed right at the time, but in reality, lush symphonic arrangements were an APP trademark and we were rather foolish in retrospect not to have stuck to that formula. I didn't like the cover either - so there.
