Reliable synchronization, accurate phase lock and straightforward machine control are essential for AV studios and production facilities. Designed by Colin Broad, the Nuendo SyncStation 19" rack-mount synchronizer allows Nuendo to lock to tri-level sync, distribute word clock signals up to 192 kHz and communicate with external machines via Sony 9-pin, MMC or timecode. The unit is fully controllable from inside the Nuendo software and provides many additional features such as pull up/down, clock manipulation, GPIO interfacing and Varispeed. Engineered to offer extremely fast locking times, ultra low jitter and rock-solid operation, Nuendo SyncStation latches Nuendo into any existing studio environment.
Nuendo SyncStation is a complete hardware synchronizer solution for the Nuendo digital audio workstation. It allows each Nuendo system to be accurately synchronized with other audio and video hardware including:
Video Tape Recorders (VTRs)
Analog tape machines
Other Steinberg systems (VST System Link)
Other Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)
Multi-machine synchronization systems
Centralized house sync generators (black burst, tri-level)
GPIO interface for record lights, video streamers, punches and beeps (ADR and foley)
Nuendo SyncStation is the central hub by which various tape machines and other systems are able to communicate with Nuendo, maintaining perfect (sample-accurate) synchronization between all devices. In today's everchanging world of new media, HDTV and the Internet, the needs of a synchronization system have evolved, requiring the adoption of new standards such as tri-level HD video sync, high-resolution audio clocks (96 kHz, 192 kHz) and various transport protocols (MIDI Machine Control, Sony P2 9-pin RS422). Nuendo SyncStation by Steinberg includes all of these standards in a professional, rugged and sophisticated piece of hardware designed to meet the users synchronization needs in every conceivable way.
